Auditions take about 15 minutes and there's no need to prepare any special material.
Known and lauded throughout the world, Philadelphia Boys Choir has provided the finest musical education for boys and young men in the Greater Philadelphia area. Steeped in the boy choir tradition of old, PBCC also builds on the foundations of countless choirs past to deliver a one-of-a-kind performance experience through song.
The Choir consists of three ensembles: the Beginning Cadets, Advanced Cadets, and the Performing Choir which includes the Men’s Chorale. The total number of participants in all programs numbers about 200 boys and men from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware and beyond who come from many different cultural backgrounds and cover a broad economic spectrum. Most performances are scheduled for evenings, weekends and holidays to accommodate the boys’ school schedules and men’s work schedules. Our goal is to see the musical growth of the boys in the Choir as they perform difficult repertoire and as they learn from a world-class staff.
