About Auditions
The Philadelphia Boys Choir is looking for boys who have musical and vocal potential, not necessarily a polished performance. Auditions are for boys in grades 1 through 3 for the training programs. Once accepted into the training programs, boys can potentially remain in the group through 12th grade. Auditions will take place at Van Sciver Elementary School (625 Rhoads Avenue, Haddonfield – behind the Tap Room) on Monday, May 18th, from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. You can arrive at any point during that time frame.
This initial audition process is very low-key. No musical training or preparation is necessary. The boys may be asked to sing a simple song that he knows and some intuitive singing exercises. Within two weeks after the audition, we will contact each parent by e-mail to let you know if your son can proceed to a callback audition at our facility in Philadelphia.

There is a fee for boys who enter the program, and financial aid is available to everyone who qualifies.
The musical opportunities that the boys experience are unmatched by any other group around. In this year alone, the Choir has performed with the Pennsylvania Ballet, the Philly POPS, Opera Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Trailblazers in international touring, the Philadelphia Boys Choir has traveled to more than 45 countries, most recently in Italy this past summer.
Our rehearsal spaces, voice studios, and offices are located on the northern Avenue of the Arts corridor (Broad & Spring Garden). The location is highly visible and easily accessible by car and public transportation.
