We get asked a lot- “Why is the mascot for the Vocal Conservatory and Camps a bunch of frogs?”
Frogs start out as tadpoles! Frogs are symbols of transformation! So- every time you come to one of our camps, or a voice lesson, or a piano lesson, or a recital, or a masterclass, or anything else we do you learn a little more. You leave just a little bit better musician than you were!
Every time.
That’s the main reason, but we can add in some more!
- Frogs come in all shapes and sizes. We don’t even make a distinction between frogs and toads (although a biologist would) because we are musicians. All are welcome!
- Frogs are known for their singing! So are we.
- Frogs are very individual and come in an enormous number of colors. This reflects the vibrancy and individuality of all the singers we work with!
